The NIBI Nature Center is located in the northeastern banks of the Lake of the Dells, just north of Lake Delton. The purpose of this nature center is to provide a space that promotes healing and learning. The main purpose of the nature center will provide areas to learn about the flora and fauna of Wisconsin, the history of the Dells, and about ways we can preserve our resources. The roof of the building features a green roof that can be used to relax and enjoy nature and as a space for a community garden. With the nature center being located on DNR land, there are offices located in the administrative area of the building. Though the nature center will be hosting many human visitors, the nature center will also host an area for people to bring animals that need to be either rehomed or sent to a long care facility.
